WHAT IS FEAST AND FORUM?
Feast and Forum is a series of programs offered in each
region for teachers and parents. Topics are selected to satisfy a
participant’s hunger for information related to dyslexia and to serve as a
forum to disburse new research and policies.
Feast and Forum was initiated by the Education
Committee in 1999 and is a strong part of VBIDA’s outreach program.
Some of the previous topics were: Research
on Reading: What We Know and Where We’re Headed, The Standards of Learning
and Students with Learning Disabilities, How Dyslexia Affects a Child’s
Emotional Functioning and Preparing for College When You Have LD.
The Feast and Forum programs are open to
members and non-members. Registration fees are kept at a minimum. If you are
not presently receiving information about the Feast and Forum programs
please contact your region’s Vice-President.
We look forward to another exciting year of programs and extend an
invitation to you to join us.
